Theo got his first taste of vacation - you know how the europeans love vacation- it starts so young. Off to Palma de Mallorca tacking on a weekend to one of Ralf's business trips. So the views for Theo weren't much different than at home - the hood of his stroller looks the same in Spain as in Germany, but the change in scenery and sunshine did mommy and daddy a lot of good. 3 Days away felt more like a whole week. Mentally refreshed but physically exhausted into the work week we go...

Theodor means gift from God and this month we had the opportunity to officially praise God for this wonderful gift and ask for His blessing over Theo's life and our raising of him. Before many friends and family we dedicated our little one - speaking over him the words of Psalm 121:

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

A Prince is Born

We are sending out the news to kingdoms far & wide - a prince has been born to Castle Kallenberger. We are praising God for the healthy arrival of our Theodor Volker Sidney.

Dreami Santorini

We're back from a fabulous week on the island of Santorini in Greece. Despite being so far along in my pregnancy and the many steps all over the island, we had a really comfortable, relaxing trip and we're glad to make it home without any complications. The Greeks love babies and by extension pregnant ladies. Everywhere we went we had store and restaurant owners calling out to us prognosticating about the sex of the baby (which they are really good at - 100% of the time they guessed a boy) or heaping extra portions of food on my plate with the quote "good for you, good for baby." The island itself was formed by a volcano, leaving stunning landscapes behind. White cities sit on top of the cliffs, sparkling in the sunshine - this island is a dream!

Santorini

Kölnprojekt is Launched

Its been a long time in the making and its far from being finished, but this weekend our new little church "Kölnprojekt" held its first worship service. We were thrilled to have about 12 guests join us for this new beginning. Looking forward to the next one in June!

Happy Birthday Sibylle

In help celebrate her 55th birthday, Sibylle invited us kids to get away with them for a weekend in the Pfalz. At the Hotel Krone she was spoiled pretty good - and we along with her. Weather good. Food good. Company good. Weekend very good!

...Either that or I need to get this tumor growing in my stomach checked out fast!

Seriously though - Castle Kallenberger is awaiting the arrival of a new Prince - and we couldn't be more excited! Renovations are underway and the new wing will be put into use by the end of July - if our little guy is a punctual German like his father.
