Kölnprojekt is Launched

Its been a long time in the making and its far from being finished, but this weekend our new little church "Kölnprojekt" held its first worship service. We were thrilled to have about 12 guests join us for this new beginning. Looking forward to the next one in June!

Happy Birthday Sibylle

In help celebrate her 55th birthday, Sibylle invited us kids to get away with them for a weekend in the Pfalz. At the Hotel Krone she was spoiled pretty good - and we along with her. Weather good. Food good. Company good. Weekend very good!

...Either that or I need to get this tumor growing in my stomach checked out fast!

Seriously though - Castle Kallenberger is awaiting the arrival of a new Prince - and we couldn't be more excited! Renovations are underway and the new wing will be put into use by the end of July - if our little guy is a punctual German like his father. All Brunched Out

Some people think that Easter is all about a bunny and eggs. Others get it and know that its all about Jesus' resurrection. And some know that and celebrate that great news by brunch hopping all weekend! That's what we did this year - including providing a brunch spot at our place for other hoppers on Monday. Don't be jealous that we get Monday as a holiday too!

Ralf Reunion in Rottweil

Over the long Karnival weekend we exchanged Cologne for the Fasching capital Rottweil - the site of this years first Ralfs reunion. Good food, friends, snow and parades kept us entertained - that is when we weren't playing with the babies!

American Holidays Part 1 - New York City

First stop on our American tour - New York City. Ralf enjoyed better acquainting me with his old stomping grounds and friends. A snow storm "grounded" us for one afternoon but made for a special holiday scene - a snow covered city. We won't be getting that in California! We did all the things city visitors should do - shopping, good eating, museums, cafes and live music - and I began to understand why Ralf loves this city so much.

Our House is Warm

Saturday - friends, family, neighbors and colleagues joined us on the 4th floor to officially warm the new house. The weather cooperated and warmed up too allowing us spread out and show off our terrace and city view. Our friend Jason warmed our hearts with an official blessing over us and the new place - that we would be good hosts and that those who come would be blessed as well. To that we say Amen and hope that Saturday was a good start in that direction!
